Perforations on the lightweight concrete roof have a cruciform, which were configured to have the optimum sunlight and shadows on February 23rd to 28th, the week when the war in Manila was on the intensive. These together with the staggered layout of the blocks, illustrate bullet holes, wounds and the distress that the war brought in the city.
